For this project, me and two other people were assigned the Ashby Bart Station in Berekely to create a redevelopment that would go along the Adeline Corridor Plan. We turned the existing site into a large central plaza that holds a mixed-use complex.
What used to be an empty parking lot is now home to a new complex that will serve as a new location for the Ashby Farmers Market as well as new apartments, restaurants, and nightlife activities. |
Museum Of ReflectionLocated near Salesforce Tower and the Infinity Apartment complex, the Vortex is placed within a commercial plaza.
The vortex was made to hold art installations and lectures, libraries, and other collections of artistic medias. The structure itself is based on the the circulation from the central staircase and the eastern and western entrances. The circulation strives to interact with all of its users. Allowing them to experience the architecture and the building’s facilities in ways completely unique to them. |
Korman Residence BIM StudyBIM is a building information modeling class and for our final project we were assigned to choose a home out of a list curated by our professor.
With the house we choose, we are challenged to make a significant replica of it with the plans and photos of the home we can find. We also had to create plans as if we were to send them to a construction company to build the project. This house is located in Fort Washington, PA and was created by architect Louis Khan |
Recycled Arts Program
This program was partnered with Viviendasleon, a non-profit organization with a mission to eliminate extreme poverty by teaching capacities for self-sufficiency in rural communities.
Garbage is a problem throughout the Nicaraguan rural areas. Our assignment was to create new ways for citizens to reuse and renew their trash as well as learning new skills or recreational interests. |
Schindler Home Study
Located in West Hollywood, California, Rudolf Schindler's home art studio is a literally a livable art piece.
For this project, we explored the different uses of space and how they are designed to perform specific functions. By creating a physical model of the home, I experienced a new perspective of how designers perceive space and was able to rethink the design process not only in homes but in everyday facilities. I was able to further understand the intricacies of architectural design and ornamentation. |
